Talks of a New Rancid Album On the Way

During my day at Vans Warped Tour in Indianapolis I got to talk to one of the main men of Rancid, Lars Fredericksen. I congratulated him on the new release of his solo album with his side band, Lars Fredericksen and the Bastards, and asked him if that and the Transplants meant the end of Rancid and he said, "no chance." I also asked him if we should expect another Rancid album and he said, and I quote, "oh yeah, Rancid is not a done deal." Lars said the next installment of Rancid should be expected in 2006. So there is something to look forward to you little fuckers.

Also on my day at Warped Tour, while talking to the man himself, I asked if there was a new Transplants to be expected and he said that the new Transplants album will be out in 2005. He also said that the new album will be like the last one except that it will be a more experimental album like the last one but there will be some new elements. He said that it will be a fucking rad record.

So the newest news this time is that the Transplants new album will be out May of this year and then Rancid is heading back into the studio for their 6th studio album. The album is being recorded under Hell Cat Records.
